Salla
What Salla is
Salla runs a platform that merchants use to create and manage their own online stores. Its careers site says the company was founded in Makkah in 2016 and names Makkah as its main office. In September 2026 Salla announced that it had acquired Paylink, a company the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) licensed in February 2022 to provide e-commerce payment services.
What Salla hires for
We have recently carried 36 Salla adverts (up to October 2026): 24 in Jeddah, 10 in Makkah and 2 in Madinah. None is in Riyadh.
| Discipline | Adverts | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Engineering: backend, AI backend, QA, SRE/MLOps, database | 7 | Makkah 4, Jeddah 2, Madinah 1 |
| Product management: storefront, catalogue, shipping and fulfilment, enterprise, GCC expansion | 6 | Jeddah |
| Marketing and content: SEO, lifecycle, creative content, UX writing | 5 | Jeddah |
| Sales and merchant support | 4 | Jeddah 3, Makkah 1 |
| Data and analytics | 4 | Jeddah 3, Madinah 1 |
| Security, data protection, business continuity | 4 | Jeddah 3, Makkah 1 |
| Finance and accounting | 4 | Makkah 3, Jeddah 1 |
| Product design and other | 2 | Jeddah 1, Makkah 1 |
Two labels in the titles tell you more than the discipline does.
- "PayLink" marks roles tied to Paylink, the SAMA-licensed payments company Salla has just bought. On Salla's own board on 10 October 2026, these were a head of cyber security, a data protection officer and a business continuity specialist, each posted for Jeddah, Makkah and Al Khobar, plus lead and senior backend engineers in Jeddah. The head of cyber security advert states that "Saudi nationality is mandatory".
- "Tamheer" is on five adverts: associate product manager, UX writer, database administrator, marketing specialist and e-commerce talent curator. If you are applying from abroad, read the next section before you apply to one of these.
What candidates should know
- Nearly every role is in the western region. On Salla's own board on 10 October 2026, every role was in Jeddah, Makkah or Madinah, except the three PayLink roles also posted for Al Khobar.
- Ask which office a Jeddah role is in. Salla's careers site names Makkah as its main office and gives no address for any other office. If you are weighing a Jeddah role, ask for the office address and district before you accept. Read our Jeddah guide first: Jeddah traffic makes the district a daily cost.
- Makkah-listed roles: check your eligibility. Visit Saudi, the Saudi Tourism Authority's official site, states: "Access to Makkah is restricted to Muslims only." Ten of the adverts we carried list Makkah as the location. If a role you want is based in Makkah, confirm your eligibility with Salla before you apply.
- Some roles are posted for more than one city. On Salla's board on 10 October 2026, Product Manager – Storefront was posted once for Jeddah and once for Makkah. One Jeddah advert asks for candidates "based in or willing to relocate to Jeddah or Mecca". If a role is listed only for Makkah, ask Salla whether it can be held from Jeddah.
- Tamheer adverts are for Saudi nationals. Tamheer is the Human Resources Development Fund's graduate on-the-job training programme, and HRDF sets the rules, not Salla. HRDF's page (updated 4 October 2026) says the beneficiary must be a Saudi national, aged no more than 30, and that training is full-time and in person for three to six months. These are training placements for Saudi graduates, not jobs you can be recruited into from abroad.
- Expect a case study. Salla's careers site lists five stages: you apply, have a video call, complete a case study, sit a final interview, then receive an offer. Plan the case study into your timetable. It is the stage that needs real preparation.
- Applications go straight to Salla. The adverts on this page come from Salla's own careers board, so applying takes you to Salla, not to us. Its careers site is jobs.salla.com, and its open roles are on its Workable board.
- Ask about visa sponsorship and relocation. Several of Salla's Jeddah product-management adverts ask for candidates "willing to relocate to Saudi Arabia". Salla's careers site does not say whether it sponsors work visas or pays relocation costs for hires from abroad. Ask before you invest time in the case study, and get the answer in the offer.
- Ask who employs PayLink staff. Salla's announcement of the acquisition does not say whether Paylink will keep operating as a separate company. If you apply for a PayLink-titled role, ask whether you would be employed by Paylink or by Salla. The answer decides whose name is on your contract.
- Before an offer arrives, read how the Saudi work visa process runs. Use the salary ranges to benchmark any package. Nothing on this page is a statement about Salla's pay.
- Funding, dated. In March 2024 Arab News reported a $130 million pre-IPO investment in Salla by Investcorp, with participation from Sanabil Investment and STV.
