A free CV builder, with nothing to unlock

Everything here is free: all four templates, every colour, the keyword match and the PDF download. There is no account to create, no trial that runs out and no watermark on the page you download. Make as many CVs as you need — a version for each role you apply to is a good habit.

Four ATS-friendly CV templates

Classic, Modern, Executive and Compact differ in type, colour and layout, not in structure. Each is one column of real text under standard headings, so an applicant-tracking system reads all four the same way. Classic suits government, legal and academic roles; Modern suits most jobs; Executive gives a senior CV presence; Compact fits a long career on one page.

CV or resume?

Employers in Saudi Arabia and across the Gulf ask for a CV. If you are used to the American word, it is the same document as a resume, and this works as a resume builder too — but write it to the Gulf conventions below: a clear headline, where you are and your residency status, and results rather than duties.

What an applicant-tracking system does with your CV

Most large employers in Saudi Arabia, and the recruitment agencies that fill their roles, receive applications through an applicant-tracking system. Before a recruiter reads your CV, the system turns it into fields: name, contact details, job titles, employers, dates, skills. A recruiter then searches those fields for the terms the role needs.

That is why every template here is one column of real text with standard headings. Tables, text boxes, two-column layouts, icons and skill bars look good on screen, but a parser commonly reads them out of order or drops them. A CV that parses cleanly is one a recruiter can find.

The Saudi CV format: what employers usually want to see

  • Where you are and your status. Recruiters filter quickly on whether you are already in the Kingdom and whether your iqama can be transferred. The optional residency field says it in one line, so nobody has to ask. See how the iqama works.
  • Nationality, if you choose to give it. Many Gulf applications ask for it, because visa quotas and processing differ by nationality. It is optional here; leave it out if the advert does not ask.
  • Availability. State your notice period plainly. A hiring manager planning a project start will often prefer the candidate who can begin sooner.
  • Professional registration. Engineers and healthcare professionals need Saudi accreditation to practise. List what you hold, or are applying for, under certifications — see professional accreditation in Saudi Arabia.
  • Results, not duties. One line per achievement, starting with a verb, with the outcome: what you delivered, improved or reduced.

Using the keyword match honestly

Paste the advert into the match box, or open this builder from any vacancy on the site with “Tailor your CV to this job”. The match lists the terms the advert leans on and shows which ones your CV already uses. Where a missing term describes something you have genuinely done, use the advert’s own wording for it — a recruiter searching for “Primavera P6” will not find “scheduling software”. Never add a skill you do not have: the interview will find it.

Your data stays with you

The builder runs entirely in your browser and saves your CV on this device. The site never receives it. To move it to another computer, use “Save a copy to a file” and open that file there. Clearing your browser data, or using a private window, removes the saved copy.
