Hala
What Hala is
Hala sells business accounts, cards, point-of-sale terminals, payment acceptance and financing to small and medium-sized businesses in Saudi Arabia. Its website says Hala Payments Company is licensed by the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) and regulated as an electronic money institution. A sister entity, Hala Financing, was licensed by SAMA on 15 May 2024 to provide debt-based crowdfunding. Hala's careers board says the group was founded in 2017 and also holds entities in the UAE and Egypt.
What Hala hires for
We have recently carried 17 Hala adverts (up to October 2026), and every one of them is in Riyadh. Nine have since closed, and eight were live when this was written.
| Discipline | Adverts |
|---|---|
| Risk, compliance and audit: sanctions, AML/CFT monitoring, governance and operational risk, cybersecurity GRC, IT audit, financial audit, credit risk (intern) | 7 |
| Finance: FP&A, financial operations | 2 |
| Marketing: digital marketing, marketing operations | 2 |
| Sales and customer care | 2 |
| Technology and delivery: AI and systems engineering, PMO project management | 2 |
| Standing talent pools | 2 |
Risk, compliance and audit is by far the largest group, with seven of the seventeen adverts. If your experience is in AML, sanctions screening, operational risk or audit, that is where Hala's openings have been. Technology hiring has been light: one engineering advert in our data, plus a technology talent pool.
What candidates should know
- Every role is in Riyadh. Read our Riyadh guide before you compare an offer. Rent is typically paid a year in advance, so ask how a housing allowance is paid. Whether school fees are covered changes a family's numbers more than any other clause.
- Ask which office and district. Hala's careers board places every opening in its Riyadh office, but neither the board nor Hala's website gives a street address. Ask the recruiter which district the office is in before you choose where to rent.
- Check which Hala company the advert names. Hala's careers board labels each opening with an entity. Most current openings say "HALA Payments"; the credit-risk internship says "HALA Financing". The two are separately regulated. Hala's website names Hala Payments Company as the entity under the supervision of the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA), and SAMA's own announcement of 15 May 2024 licensed "Hala Financing", by that name, for debt-based crowdfunding. The entity named in the advert should be the one on your contract, because that is the employer your work visa is issued under.
- The two talent-pool listings are not vacancies. "Prospective Talent Pool – Technology & Product" and "Prospective Talent Pool – Ops, Sales, Marketing & Business" are, by their titles, pools for future roles. If one of the named openings fits you, apply to that first.
- No nationality restriction appears in any title. None of the 17 advert titles reserves the role for Saudi nationals, but read the full advert, because that is where any such requirement would be stated.
- Ask before you apply to the early-career roles from abroad. On 10 October 2026 neither the "Sales Program" advert nor the credit-risk internship (open to recent graduates and final-year students) stated a nationality or residency requirement, and neither mentioned visas. If you do not already live in Saudi Arabia, ask the recruiter whether either is open to someone who would need a work visa.
- Applications go straight to Hala. Hala adverts on this site come from Hala's own careers board, so applying takes you to Hala, not to us. Start from Hala's careers page, which links to its current openings.
- Ask about sponsorship and relocation at the first call. Hala's adverts say it offers "remote, in-office, and hybrid work setups", but neither its website nor its adverts say whether it sponsors work visas or pays relocation for hires from outside Saudi Arabia. Ask which arrangement applies to your role, whether Hala will sponsor your visa, and what relocation it covers, and get the answers in the offer letter.
- Before an offer arrives, read how the Saudi work visa process runs. Use the salary ranges to benchmark a package. Nothing on this page is a statement about Hala's pay.
- Funding and acquisitions, dated. On 15 September 2025 Hala and TPG announced a $157 million Series B round led by TPG's The Rise Fund and Sanabil Investments, and Arab News reported the round on 20 September 2025. In February 2023 Arab News reported that Hala had acquired the UAE payments company Paymennt.com.
