What Red Sea Global is

Red Sea Global (RSG), known until October 2022 as The Red Sea Development Company, develops The Red Sea and AMAALA, two tourism destinations on Saudi Arabia's northwestern Red Sea coast. It has its headquarters in Riyadh, with branches at its project sites. According to its chief financial officer in February 2025, its spending is funded partly by debt and partly by the Public Investment Fund.

What they hire for

What RSG has said in public about its operations is the best available guide to where the work is:

  • Hotels. Phase One of the two destinations is due to total 25 hotels, or 27 counting two Turtle Bay properties. The Shura Island resorts are operated by international brands, including Rosewood, Four Seasons, Grand Hyatt, EDITION and Raffles. Desert Rock and Shebara are owned and operated by RSG itself.
  • AMAALA's Triple Bay. It is planned to have nine resorts with more than 1,600 rooms, plus a yacht club, a marina village and the Corallium Marine Life Institute.
  • The shift itself. In February 2026 Greg Djerejian, RSG's group chief legal officer and group head of investments, called 2026 "the pivotal year where Red Sea Global is transitioning from being a developer to being an operator".

What candidates should know

Destination or Riyadh: settle it first

RSG's headquarters is in Riyadh. The destinations are on the coast, and AMAALA lies about 200 km north of The Red Sea destination. A Riyadh corporate role and a destination role are different lives, and two destination roles 200 km apart are not interchangeable either. See Red Sea and Riyadh.

For a destination role, ask the recruiter whether housing is provided and, if so, whether it covers dependants. Ask whether the post runs on a rotation and what travel between the destination and your home base is paid for. Get each answer into the contract.

Who actually employs you

At a resort run by an international brand, the operator and RSG are different organisations. Ask which entity issues your contract. That entity sponsors your work visa and iqama, and its obligations govern your end-of-service benefit. See the Saudi work visa guide.

Most of the workforce is Saudi

RSG's chief financial officer, Martin Greenslade, said in February 2025: "In our company, we are around 70 percent Saudis." On that figure, non-Saudi staff were about three in ten of RSG's own workforce.

Openings have arrived later than first stated

  • February 2025: the CFO said 11 hotels would open on Shura Island that year, and seven at AMAALA.
  • 10 February 2026: RSG said Phase One of both destinations would open by the end of 2026.
  • 16 June 2026: RSG announced the opening of AMAALA's first resort, Four Seasons, the first of nine at Triple Bay.
  • 18 August 2026: RSG announced the opening of Rosewood AMAALA, the third resort at Triple Bay, and said "a further five resorts" would follow "in the coming months".

In the sources we checked, we found no announced reduction in RSG's scope. What the dated record shows is openings arriving later than first announced. If your role is tied to a specific opening, ask what happens to it if that date moves. In April 2026 the PIF governor said the next phase of NEOM and other mega-projects will aim to meet targets with less direct PIF funding. RSG's chief executive said in August 2025 that it was considering an IPO or real estate investment trusts, with no final decision.
